The Jaguar XK120 was a sports car manufactured between 1948-1954 and was Jaguars first real sports car since the SS100 which stopped production in 1940. There were three versions available, a roadster, a drophead coupe, and a closed or fixed head coupe.

The Jaguar XK140 then took over from the XK120 and was manufactured from 1954-1957. This time, Jaguar offered more interior space, improved brakes, rack and pinion steering, increased suspension travel and telescopic shock absorbers rather than the older lever arm design. On the exterior, the XK140 offered more substantial front and rear bumpers with overriders, and flashing turn signals mounted above the front bumper.

In 1957, the XK150 was introduced and was in production until 1961. Initially only available in a fixed head coupe and drop head coupe variety, a roadster was introduced in 1958. The open two seater broke tradition and was fitted with high silled wind up windows in its new taller doors, but retained the very simple folding roof of its predecessors. Two engines were offered, a 3.4 litre and a later revised 3.8 litre engine was introduced in 1960.

Der Jaguar XK120 war ein Sportwagen, der zwischen 1948 und 1954 hergestellt wurde und Jaguars erster echter Sportwagen seit dem SS100 war, dessen Produktion 1940 eingestellt wurde. Es gab drei Versionen, einen Roadster, ein Drophead-Coupé und ein geschlossenes oder festes Coupé.

Der Jaguar XK140 löste dann den XK120 ab und wurde von 1954 bis 1957 hergestellt. Diesmal bot Jaguar mehr Innenraum, verbesserte Bremsen, Zahnstangenlenkung, mehr Federweg und Teleskopstoßdämpfer anstelle des älteren Hebelarmdesigns. Äußerlich bot der XK140 größere vordere und hintere Stoßfänger mit Überreitern und blinkenden Blinkern, die über der vorderen Stoßstange angebracht waren.

1957 wurde der XK150 vorgestellt und bis 1961 produziert. Ursprünglich nur als Coupé mit festem Kopf und Coupé mit fallendem Kopf erhältlich, wurde 1958 ein Roadster eingeführt. Der offene Zweisitzer brach mit der Tradition und war in seinen neuen höheren Türen mit hohen Klappfenstern ausgestattet, behielt aber das sehr einfache Faltdach seiner Vorgänger bei. Es wurden zwei Motoren angeboten, ein 3,4-Liter- und ein später überarbeiteter 3,8-Liter-Motor wurde 1960 eingeführt.
